Texture 'Repeating'

Phill has shown us the light on creating tileable (correct spelling?) textures.. Heres how I got on..

Gormenghast Castle, The first image (Blue'er) was the first attempt for the right time of day but I then thought it would look better being sunset/sunrise :) here they are.

In this painting I decided to make a different time of day, I chose sunset/sunrise, I also tried adding a glow to everything by using the 'colour dodge' brush and layer settings. I think there is still something wrong with this painting though, but I cant work it out, Any ideas?

Digital Painting..

Well as I havent uploaded my Digital Paintings I shall do so now..

Hmm Problems uploading.. Trying again..

Nope not able to upload.. Will try again in a few hours..

Found the problem, Cant upload *.Tif files... stupid blogger.. i have 3 *.Jpg and one *.Tif and for that one file it doesnt like uploading them all...... uploading the three I am able to upload..

This First painting is of a cave, has nothing to do with my book but instead was a trial at getting used to the graphics tablet on the first session with Simon Holland.

This Second painting is of a 'hallway' which I feel is a bit too bright and under 'furnished' :/

This Third one is W.I.P I think it is successful so far as the cliffs on either side give depth to the scene, I have placed a 'castle' type building on the left in the background. Also thinking of changing the scene to be more 'dead' and darker.

Digital Painting Help Please..

Hi all, I have just sat down to do some digital painting and plugged the wacom in, its all setup correctly, but the brushes arent changing to 'pen pressure' on the tablet? Any help please? I set it up the same as I set it up before but I am just getting the one size instead of variance...

Heres the Settings..

*& ive turned on dual brush.. to give my brushes a different 'texture' to them..

Please help ASAP thanks.

just found out theres a strange '!' icon next to them. the tool-tip says I need a pressure sensitive tablet to use the features.. Now correct me if im wrong but intuos4.. is..

*ahh maybe drivers... will download and try again..*

Concepts..

Well my first time using a grafix tablet so yh.. I think I could have done better but overall I think I have accomplished the feel of the room. There are a few more bits needed, A shelf with carvings on, dust everywhere, a stream of light behind the camera, The door at the end of the hall... Lots more to be added.... anyway...


Please let me know what you all think :) I do think the yellow'y tint is a bit too much?
